Oral semaglutide reduced the risk of composite heart failure outcomes with a hazard ratio of 0.78 (p=0.03).
The risk of major adverse cardiovascular events was lower with oral semaglutide (hazard ratio 0.83, p=0.05).
No significant differences were found in hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia events between the treatment and placebo groups.
